GeoLive is a GIS LiveCD and GeoLive is a GIS LiveDVD.
GeoLive is a GIS oriented live system and environment based on Gentoo Linux ™.
It could be used from any kind of allready running GNU/Linux system and environments (host and embedded ones). Currently, all the geolive versions are x86 based so you should use it on x86 platform or compatible.
GeoLive could be considerate as a binary distribution of geoscience open source softwares.
It could be used as a live system providing a full operating system able to boot your machine and let you enjoy the GIS applications it contains and which are ready to use, as for example some Desktop Gis App included (QGis, GRASS...).
